The dating world of today is much, much different than the dating world of 15 or even as little as 5 years ago and that means the way you prepare for a date has changed as well.There are plenty of things that can go wrong on a first date and the last thing you want is to be the cause of one of these potentially embarrassing mishaps.

So here we’ve gathered the top 15 must-have tips for preparing for a successful first date.

1) Hydrate

First dates can cause even the most confident person to get nervous. That means there is a good chance that at some point during your date you may find yourself sweating a bit more than usual. So instead of literally getting weak in the knees and taking a dive on the first date be sure to hydrate well ahead of time.

This doesn’t mean downing a huge glass of water 10 minutes before you guys meet up but instead preparing all throughout the days and weeks before the day of. The confident and well hydrated you will then be able to reap multiple benefits of proper hydration like glowing skin, brighter eyes, increased stamina and fresh breath.

Be sure to keep the proper hydration going throughout the date as well by drinking water at dinner and in between each alcoholic beverage. This will keep you feeling good and also prevent any accidental drunken disasters to interrupt the evening.
